Meet The Chairman
A Dedicated Crusader. He is a Born fighter. He studied and completed his graduation overcoming problems arising due to his rural background and at the age of 17 yrs, joined Indian Navy. The trust and the academy is run under the chairmanship of Mr. C H. RAMA RAO, who is from INDIAN NAVY and mariner having a vast experience of more than 35 years in the field of Shipping industry. He had good analytical skills and a hard worker and a strict disciplinarian. He has intense passion for spreading maritime education in India. He started initially by conducting professional courses for maritime radio Officers training. Capitalizing his experience, he took the initiative to launching a maritime training academy in year 1998. He is the first man to start rating training after privatization of the Marine education in India. Once his mind was made up to start Maritime Training institution, hurdles and set backs could neither deter his progress nor dampen his enthusiasm. His dedication and devotion towards his crusade is contagious .He is totally dedicated in running the academy.

ISTA , the maritime training institution is the realization of my personal dream. At ISTA , we have created a platform for such young men and women to assimilate and adopt the intricacies sea life. The approved and detailed syllabus of D.G. shipping along with experienced and competent faculty , We provide the perfect course delivery for the students. ISTA springs from a belief that there is a lot of young talent here in India ,with good encouragement , motivation and support, they can rise to the highest levels globally in technology and leadership and skilled seafarers infusing in them a sense of nation pride, decorative value. ISTA is committed to being a leading educational institution recognized for excellence in the Maritime Education and Training. The task is arduous and the path grueling but I have two things going for me. One is my internal motivation and other the society’s unstinted support. We at ISTA have taken the proactive step of nurturing a highly competitive and skilled marine professionals who can make the youth to be part of this mission.
